Goal-Setting Versus Go-Getting
Is it enough just to set a goal and mean to achieve it? When is it appropriate?
You’ve heard world-renowned motivational speakers say it and see it advertised everywhere, why aren’t you taking the steps necessary to fulfill that goal? For starters, it’s hard to accomplish something without clarity. For example, if you are setting out to surf 100 sites at say, Tunnel Rat Traffic today, all you have to do is set your desired goal and track your progress right from the surfbar! Since StartXchange has been successfully implementing this technique for quite some time now, it only makes sense to do what works.
Having a visual reminder in the foreground is a key motivational factor to reaching your goals and even larger milestones. Get a wall calender, write reminders on post-its, just write your goals down where you know you’ll see them everyday and…
… BE CONSISTENT!
Really. That simple. Of course, that leads to tracking and split-testing in the internet marketing world, but be prepared to recognize your short-comings and learn from them. Make minor adjustments, set realistic, attainable goals.
