Google Page Rank Matters

Google is constantly changing their search engine algorithms according to mostly unknown factors.  But out of the over 200 varying factors that most people use to optimize their search engine results, page rank will always remain a factor.  Recently, Site-Reference did a report on whether or not Google’s Page Rank counts anymore.  Aside from being an interesting article, it is also very informative as to the large amounts of money this single factor has created for those with a higher page rank.

Simply put, the higher your page rank on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the highest, the more traffic your website will get, and that is good business for anyone.  Most of the time, websites with a higher rank will sell some of their web real estate to the highest bidder for extra profit, which is why it seems, Google wants to downplay the value of it.  Read the article on Site-Reference.
