Successful People Have Dream Boards

Big dreams require a broad vision of the future. Remember when you were a kid and you knew what you wanted to be when you grew up? You probably got sucked into the mediocrity of society and now trade your valuable time for money… just to pay bills. Ugh. What if you dare to imagine again? You probably catch yourself daydreaming from time to time where you are on a beach in Maui or running your business, setting your own hours.

Start Your Own Dream Board

Now that you know it is okay to dream, you need to feed your subconscious daily reminders of that vision. Set some tangible goals that you can measure to make your dreams come true. Set your 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 1 year and 5 year goals. Then put up a cork-board or designate a wall as your dream board. Start pinning pictures of the things you want on your new dream board.

Start of Dream Board

In this picture, I have included a photo of the beginning phase of my dream board. There are pictures of vacation spots for 2012, a car I will own in a few years, and lots of clearly defined (written-out) goals with timelines. These goals are flexible and can be adjusted, but they must be written down to keep yourself accountable.

The Key is to Start Your Dream Board, it Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect, it Just Has to Exist!

Once you have your dream board started and put up in a place where you will see it everyday, you will find yourself that much more driven and motivated to do Whatever It Takes to fulfill those dreams of yours. You deserve it!

Your dreams may change or vary from time to time, which is why you can easily replace images or add to the existing ones. The purpose of your dream board is just to keep your vision alive and well in front of your eyes on a consistent basis. Never give up on your dreams!
