Customizable HF 3D Frame

After creating and printing many HueForge prints from photos, I wanted to frame them and decided to design one using OpenScad; a free software.

Some of the 3D Paintings created in HueForge are the full size 200×200 mm prints, but many ended up with varying dimensions, including depth. Therefore, I designed a fully customizable 3D frame to include dimensions, text size, font and even extrusion. Included in the download are three standard size blank STL files though.

Slicing recommendations for your 3D Frame:

– Rotate to a 45 degree angle on the bed for a better fit.
– 10% infil
– 0.2mm layer height
– supports on build plate only
– organic supports or grid supports.
– detect bridging

*Note: grid supports are easier to remove.

Now, you can print your own customizable HueForge 3D Frame for each print.
